Leaks, taps and plumbing repairs
The everyday jobs: a tap that won't stop dripping, a toilet that keeps running, a leak under the sink. Small jobs are still worth doing properly.
Jobs we do
- Dripping and loose taps, new taps fitted
- Leaking pipes, joints and valves
- Toilets that run on, won't flush or leak at the base
- Stopcocks that are stuck or won't shut off
- Outside taps
- Washing machine and dishwasher connections
If you have a leak now
We don't run a 24-hour emergency call-out service. If water is coming through a ceiling, turn it off at the stopcock (often under the kitchen sink, sometimes where the water pipe comes into the house) and switch off any electrics near the water. Then call or message us and we'll come as soon as we can. If your home insurance has an emergency helpline, ring that too.
If you smell gas, don't call us first: call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
Where we work
We work from two bases: Abbey Wood, for south-east London and the edge of north-west Kent, and Sheerness, for the Isle of Sheppey and Sittingbourne. Whichever of us is nearer takes your job.
Questions
Is a dripping tap worth fixing?
Yes. It wastes water, and if you're on a meter you're paying for it. Usually it's a washer or a cartridge, which is a quick job.
Where is my stopcock?
Most often under the kitchen sink. In some houses it's under the stairs, in a downstairs toilet or in a cupboard by the front door. It's worth finding before you need it.
